Surprising as it may seem, motorways are statistically some of the safest road networks available in this country. However, with high volumes of traffic often travelling at very high speeds, motorway driving can be a very daunting prospect for a newly qualified or nervous driver.

Whilst there are no doubt many qualified drivers who have never ventured onto the motorway network having had no need to do so, there are many who have avoided them through fear. This, for some, can severely restrict the freedom that driving can bring. Why not tackle those fears with a session of motorway driving with a fully qualified approved driving instructor alongside you to assist and guide you?

A two hour motorway lesson using the M1 between Sheffield and Nottingham will show you how to do the following:

Motorway Lessons

• Join the motorway safely via slip roads & roundabouts.

• Drive at speeds appropriate to the traffic and weather conditions.

• Overtake slower moving vehicles safely at speed.

• Drive safely in heavily congested traffic situations.

• Know the correct breakdown or emergency procedure and when to use the hard shoulder safely.

• Leave the motorway safely at suitable speeds.
